EARLY NORTHAMPTONSHIRE PHOTOGRAPHERS A-B

Anonymous

The second photographer to run a studio in Northamptonshire is referred to by Heathcote, but he has not been identified by name. It is known that he acquired the daguerreotype licence relinquished by Joseph Whitlock (q.v.) at the end of 1845, and that he set up business in 1846 in Mercers’ Row, Northampton, using the premises that had formerly been occupied by Whitlock.
